Applications for the Zayed Sustainability Prize 2026 are now open, inviting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), non-profit organizations (NPOs), and high schools to apply with innovative solutions in health, food, energy, water, and climate action.
The prize fund totals US $5.9 million, with US $1 million awarded to winners in each of the five categories—Health, Food, Energy, Water, and Climate Action. High school projects from six regions around the world can receive up to US $150,000 to bring their ideas to life.
Since its inception in 2008, the Zayed Sustainability Prize has supported more than 400 million people across over 150 countries. The prize celebrates solutions that address global challenges and make a tangible impact on improving lives.
A panel of global sustainability leaders will judge the submissions, including former President of Iceland H.E. Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, UAE Cabinet Members H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi and H.E. Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui, as well as business and energy leaders such as Sir Richard Branson and Dr. Andreas Jacobs.
