The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is moving forward with the implementation of ECOVISA, following a successful two-day technical workshop held in Lagos, Nigeria, from March 10 to 11, 2025.
The workshop gathered key experts from various ECOWAS Member States, including IT specialists and immigration officials, to examine the newly developed ECOVISA online application portal. These experts, with extensive experience in visa application and issuance procedures, collaborated to fine-tune the portal’s features, aiming to enhance the user experience and ensure a secure, efficient process for travellers within the region.
