The U.S. Embassy in Maseru, Lesotho, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Bokang Grace Matlosa, a 2023 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders alumna.
During her fellowship, Bokang spent six weeks at Clark Atlanta University, receiving training in Business and Entrepreneurship Leadership. She also completed a four-week internship at ATX FOOD CO., a plant-based food truck in Austin, Texas, known for its use of high-quality, locally sourced ingredients.
Bokang was an innovative entrepreneur who made a lasting impact on Lesotho’s beverage industry with her products, Necta and Tholoana Carbonated Soft Drinks.
