Botswana’s President Duma Boko met with Claare Gatete, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), to discuss strengthening ties between the government of Botswana and UNECA. The focus was on advancing Botswana’s development goals, including the green economy, smart agriculture, eco-tourism, and youth skills development.

President Boko praised the discussions, recognizing the importance of sustainable partnerships and investments for the country’s long-term growth. He also expressed appreciation for the support from the UN and UNECA in Botswana’s development initiatives.
The meeting explored ongoing action plans aimed at fostering inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development across Africa.
