KIGALI, Dec 20 – Rwanda has announced the end of the Marburg virus outbreak, Health Minister Sabin Nsanzimana said Friday. The declaration comes after 42 days without new cases, meeting the World Health Organization (WHO) criteria.
The outbreak, which began in mid-September, resulted in 66 confirmed cases, 15 deaths, and 51 recoveries, according to the health ministry.
