Mbabane, Eswatini – Eswatini’s Ministers Pholile Shakantu, Neal Rijkenberg, and Manqoba Khumalo met with UAE officials on Wednesday, August 21, to finalize negotiations for a double taxation agreement.
The meeting, held at the UAE Ministry of Finance offices in Abu Dhabi, was also attended by Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority CEO Sibani Mngomezulu, Eswatini’s Ambassador to the UAE Sifiso Dlamini, Counsellor Nonhlanhla Dlamini, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Zandile Dlamini.
The agreement seeks to promote the flow of investment and strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries. A joint committee on investment will be created, meeting once a year in either Eswatini or the UAE.
