San Francisco & Bologna, Italy, June 13, 2024 – Musixmatch, the world’s largest lyrics catalog, and UnitedMasters, a leading platform for independent artists, have announced a groundbreaking partnership to enhance the careers of independent musicians globally. This collaboration introduces Musixmatch Pro’s lyrics services and AI-driven social content creation tools to UnitedMasters’ artists.

As part of the partnership, Musixmatch and UnitedMasters have launched their inaugural Lyric Competition, awarding 25 artists with compelling lyrics a free year-long subscription to Musixmatch Pro. This includes access to full-length lyric video creation and early use of the AI-powered Lyrics To Video tool, set to debut later in 2024.

Lyrics To Video uses AI to transform lyrics into high-quality videos, allowing artists to engage fans on platforms like Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Spotify, and TikTok. Early adopters, including EarthGang, have tested these features, showcasing their potential to enhance artist-fan connections.

UnitedMasters encourages artists to submit their music to the Musixmatch Pro x UnitedMasters Lyrics Competition by July 12. The collaboration underscores the evolving role of AI and digital tools in music promotion and audience engagement.

Musixmatch, with lyrics for millions of songs in over 100 languages, provides essential metadata to major digital service providers (DSPs) like Amazon Music, Apple Music, Google, Instagram, Spotify, and Tidal. Musixmatch Pro allows music professionals to manage and distribute lyrics, create visually striking lyric videos, and reach a global audience.

“Musixmatch has long been the global source of truth for lyrics, and as the music industry continues to evolve, we’re empowering independent artists everywhere to make the most of their lyrics and maximize the reach of their songs,” said Rio Caraeff, Chief Business Officer of Musixmatch.

David Reich, President of UnitedMasters, added, “This partnership with Musixmatch allows our global roster of independent artists to tap into best-in-class lyrics capabilities and AI-powered content creation solutions. By putting powerful AI tools like Musixmatch’s lyric videos into the hands of our artists, we’re empowering them to efficiently produce engaging content that drives fan engagement while allowing them to refocus energy on their creative process.”

Tracks with clear, well-produced vocals and inventive lyrics, released on or after February 1, 2024, must be submitted by July 12, 2024. Details and submission guidelines are available on the UnitedMasters website. The initiative is part of UnitedMasters Select, offering exclusive opportunities for members to expand their reach and monetize their music.

Musixmatch Pro provides artists with tools to verify and sync lyrics, distribute them worldwide, outsource lyrics curation to experts, and create customized lyric videos, ensuring independent artists can enhance their music’s visibility and connect deeply with their fans.
