Riga, Latvia – May 23, 2024 – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) officially opened its new embassy in Riga, Latvia’s capital, in a ceremony marking a significant step towards stronger relations between the two countries.
High-level officials from both nations attended the event, including UAE Ministers of State Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh and Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi. They, alongside Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže, unveiled a plaque to officially inaugurate the new embassy, housed in a historic building recognized by UNESCO.
The opening ceremony underscores both countries’ commitment to fostering closer ties. Minister Al Sayegh highlighted the new embassy as a symbol of this dedication, aiming to boost cooperation across various sectors and build upon the progress achieved in recent years.
Dr. Al Zeyoudi further emphasized the UAE’s strategy under its leadership to build stronger partnerships with nations that share a vision for a future focused on economic development and sustainable growth.
