Dubai, UAE – April 20, 2024 – Dubai’s airports, land crossings, and seaports effectively navigated recent bad weather, ensuring a smooth travel experience for over 419,000 passengers.

Officials at Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) commended the dedication and teamwork of airport, land, and seaport staff. Their efforts minimized disruptions for travelers despite challenging weather conditions. Major General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the GDRFA, praised the teams’ professionalism, flexibility, and swift response to emergencies. This commitment to quality service strengthens Dubai’s position as a leading travel and tourism hub.

Passenger safety remains a top priority for the GDRFA. Through established protocols and collaboration with airport management, the department prioritizes safe travel for all. General Al Marri noted that flight delays during bad weather are a responsible measure taken by airlines to safeguard passenger well-being.
