Johannesburg, South Africa – Zambia’s participation in the recently concluded Meetings Africa 2024 conference has been hailed as a significant boost for the country’s tourism sector.
The Zambian High Commissioner to South Africa, Ms. Mazuba Monze, highlighted the importance of the event as a platform for showcasing Zambia’s unique tourism offerings to a global audience. Meetings Africa brings together exhibitors from across Africa and beyond, allowing them to connect with potential clients and industry professionals.
Ms. Monze emphasized the value of the conference in fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the tourism sector. The event provided an opportunity to discuss best practices, improve policies, and explore new partnership opportunities.
She noted the participation of several prominent Zambian entities in the conference, including the Ministry of Tourism, the Zambia Tourism Agency, and various private sector companies. These organizations showcased the diverse range of tourism products and services available in Zambia, from accommodation and travel options to cultural experiences and adventure activities.
Meetings Africa 2024, which took place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, attracted over 350 exhibitors from 22 African countries. The two-day event also included an educational day focused on industry trends and developments.
