LATAKIA, 14th May, 2023 — In a display of ongoing humanitarian support, the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) delegation delivered food parcels to over 600 medical professionals working in hospitals across the Syrian Governorate of Latakia. The initiative, dubbed “Operation Gallant Knight 2,” is part of the UAE’s concerted efforts in cooperation with Syrian entities and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent to aid those in need.
Under the banner of the “We did not forget You” campaign, the ERC delegation confirmed the continuation of the second phase of their initiative. This latest endeavor echoes the UAE’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian relief, extending assistance to Syrians through food and medical supplies.
Head of the Emirates Red Crescent delegation in Syria, Mohammed Khamis Al Kaabi, highlighted the significance of the initiative, noting that the distribution of food parcels to over 600 doctors and nurses has played a crucial role in supporting the healthcare system since the earthquake in Syria. The ERC’s efforts serve as a testament to the UAE’s enduring support for the people of Syria during their recovery and rehabilitation process.
