The Cameroon International Film Festival (CAMIFF) will return to Buea from April 21st to 26th, 2025, celebrating African cinema and fostering global connections. Since its inception in 2016, the annual festival has become a vibrant hub for filmmakers and film lovers, offering a program filled with film screenings, awards ceremonies, workshops, and networking opportunities.
Festivalgoers can expect to experience exceptional Cameroonian and African films, attend an awards ceremony recognizing filmmaking excellence, and network with industry leaders and delegates. The event also includes workshops and masterclasses led by seasoned experts from the film industry.
Prince, Agbor Gilbert Ebot, the founder of CAMIFF, expressed his excitement about the festival’s future and the recent meeting with Dr. Vivian Asheri Kilo, Secretary of State to the Minister of Basic Education. Dr. Kilo, a respected figure in cultural development with a background in performing and visual arts, has shown interest in collaborating with CAMIFF. Her involvement could play a key role in advancing education and culture through film in Cameroon.

Additionally, CAMIFF has forged a partnership with the Embassy of Tunisia to promote cultural diplomacy between Cameroon and Tunisia through film. This collaboration aims to unite the two countries’ film industries, creating opportunities for co-productions and fostering cross-cultural exchange. The partnership is set to bring both Cameroonian and Tunisian cinema to the global stage.

Film enthusiasts, filmmakers, and industry professionals are invited to attend CAMIFF 2025, where they will have the chance to collaborate, learn, and celebrate the richness of African cinema.
