The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) is actively working to foster stronger connections with the Ghanaian diaspora to stimulate national economic growth. Recently, Kofi Okyere Darko, Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Presidency, met with GIPC CEO Simon Madjie to discuss strategies aimed at attracting increased diaspora investments.
During the meeting, Mr. Okyere Darko stressed the need for a strategic partnership to unlock the full economic potential of the diaspora. He emphasized that these investments could significantly contribute to the country’s development. In response, Mr. Madjie assured that the GIPC remains committed to supporting these efforts. He highlighted ongoing initiatives to streamline investment processes, including the introduction of targeted incentives and supportive legislation designed to make investment in Ghana more attractive and accessible for the diaspora.
