Ethiopia has unveiled a new e-passport with enhanced security features, aimed at improving the efficiency of immigration processes. The Ethiopian Immigration and Nationality Services introduced the passport at a ceremony held at the Science Museum.
The e-passport incorporates advanced biometric data, including fingerprints, facial recognition, and an electronic chip. These features are designed to increase security and help prevent fraud and counterfeiting.
Produced locally in collaboration with Ethiopia Investment Holdings and Topan Security Ethiopia Share Company, the new e-passport meets international standards and has secured global recognition.
