Kenya will host the third Global Data Festival next May, cementing Nairobi’s role as a key destination for international conferences. The event will gather experts, policymakers, and industry leaders from 90 countries to discuss data, governance, and innovation.
Principal Secretary Dr. Korir Sing’Oei met with Dr. Claire Melamed, CEO of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD), and her team to review plans for the festival. The meeting reinforced Kenya’s partnership with GPSDD in advancing data-driven solutions for development.
The festival will showcase how collaborations can drive new opportunities in data and technology. The previous edition was held in Punta del Este, Uruguay, attracting a global audience focused on using data for economic and social progress.
With Nairobi preparing to host delegates from around the world, the festival is expected to spur discussions on the role of data in policymaking and business growth.
