Nairobi – Kenya is deepening diplomatic relations with Venezuela and Brazil as senior officials hold key discussions on bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador Josphat K. Maikara, Deputy Director General for the Americas and the Caribbean at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Venezuelan Ambassador to Kenya, Moravia Peralta Hernandez. Talks focused on preparations to mark 55 years of diplomatic ties and finalizing legal agreements between the two nations.

In a separate meeting, Ambassador Maikara held discussions with Brazilian Ambassador Silvio Albuquerque on the implementation of bilateral cooperation agreements. The two officials also explored potential state visits and ways to boost trade between Kenya and Brazil.
