Gaborone, 19 January 2025 – President Duma Gideon Boko will attend the 2025 World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, from 20 to 24 January. The annual event brings together global leaders from government, business, international organizations, civil society, and academia to discuss strategies for addressing global challenges.
This year’s forum, themed “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age,” will focus on enhancing global cooperation, promoting economic growth, tackling climate change through clean technology, and advancing human capital development. An estimated 60 heads of state and government are expected to participate.
President Boko is scheduled to join high-level sessions and panels on Africa’s economy and governance. He will also co-chair a session on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and hold bilateral meetings with government and business leaders.
The President will be accompanied by Trade and Entrepreneurship Minister Tiroeaona Ntsima and senior government officials.
