Cape Town, South Africa, will host the BRICS Youth Innovation Summit 2025 from April 10 to April 11, 2025, focusing on global challenges and technological solutions for sustainability and social equity.

The event, organized by the South African BRICS Youth Association (SABYA), will center on the theme “Innovating the Future: Technology for Sustainability and Social Good.” The summit aims to unite young professionals from BRICS nations to collaborate on innovation-driven projects addressing critical issues.

Sub-Themes of Focus

The summit will feature discussions on:

  • Circular Economy and Waste-to-Wealth Technologies: Converting waste into valuable resources to support environmental resilience and economic growth.
  • Tech-Enabled Food Security and Agricultural Resilience: Using IoT and big data to optimize farming practices and supply chains, while integrating indigenous knowledge systems.
  • Artificial Intelligence and Big Data for Social Good: Addressing healthcare, education, disaster management, and governance challenges through AI and data-driven solutions.
  • Digital Transformation for Economic Growth: Modernizing industries and fostering innovation through advanced technological tools.

Eligibility and Participation

The summit is open to young entrepreneurs, innovators, and professionals aged 18-35 involved in projects related to the sub-themes.

Travel and Accommodation

SABYA will provide visa support and cover participants’ accommodation during the event. Attendees must arrange and fund their travel to Cape Town and pay visa application fees.
