Conakry, Guinea – The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has awarded a $75,000 grant to Guinea to support the development of its national human capital development strategy.

The grant agreement was signed by ECOWAS Vice President Damtien Tchintchibida and Guinea’s Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Ismael NABE.

This initiative aligns with the ECOWAS Integrated Regional Strategy for Human Capital Development, adopted in July 2022. The regional strategy aims to prioritize health, education, skills development, entrepreneurship, and digital economy.

Guinea is one of several ECOWAS member states receiving financial and technical support to develop and implement their national human capital development strategies. The goal is to foster economic growth, social resilience, and stability across the region.
