Zambia Celebrates 60th Independence Anniversary in Tokyo

The Zambian Embassy in Tokyo marked the 60th anniversary of Zambia’s independence with a reception attended by diplomats, Zambian nationals, and key figures from Japan’s political and business sectors. The event was led by His Excellency Dr. Tobias Mulimbika, Zambia’s Ambassador to Japan, who reflected on the long-standing ties between the two nations.

The celebration also recognized 60 years of diplomatic relations between Zambia and Japan, which have been built on shared values and mutual respect. Ambassador Mulimbika expressed his gratitude for the strong bilateral partnership and the cooperation that has developed over the decades.

Mr. Toshihiko Horiuchi, Director General of the Africa Division at Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was present at the event and reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to further strengthening relations with Zambia.
