The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) jointly organized a CEOs Breakfast Meeting to focus on promoting responsible business practices within Ghana’s labor framework. The event brought together key players from multinational corporations, labor unions, and public and private sector representatives to discuss improving compliance with both local and international labor laws.

Edward Ashong-Lartey, GIPC’s Director for Investor Services, stated that the principles of the ILO’s MNE Declaration are in line with Ghana’s labor laws and reflect the country’s goals for a more inclusive society. He also noted that businesses that invest in worker wellbeing often see increased productivity and loyalty, contributing to long-term success.
