NEW YORK, United States – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan, Hon. Ramadan, held a productive meeting with the Foreign Affairs Minister of Latvia, Baiba Braže, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
The two ministers discussed a range of issues, including bilateral relations, enhancing cooperation between the two countries, and addressing humanitarian challenges in South Sudan.

Minister Ramadan emphasized the importance of investment, technology transfer, and economic cooperation between South Sudan and Latvia. He also highlighted the need to mitigate the effects of flooding in South Sudan and address the humanitarian situation along the border with Sudan.
Minister Braže expressed Latvia’s willingness to support South Sudan in addressing humanitarian challenges through its agencies.
