Juba, South Sudan – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan announced today that the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Amb. John Samuel Bwogo, met with H.E Amb. Isam Mohamed Hassan Karar, Head of Mission of the Republic of Sudan to South Sudan. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Hon. Bwogo extended a warm welcome to Amb. Karar, highlighting the deep historical ties between South Sudan and Sudan. He expressed concern over the ongoing conflict in Sudan and reaffirmed South Sudan’s unwavering commitment to Sudan’s stability. Bwogo emphasized the importance of working with all partners to achieve a peaceful resolution in Sudan.
Amb. Karar expressed gratitude to Hon. Undersecretary Bwogo and underscored the significance of peace in Sudan. He noted that the conflict has had a detrimental impact on the economy of South Sudan. “Sudanese people feel right at home in South Sudan, and we desire this cordial relationship to continue in all aspects,” Amb. Karar added.
