Nairobi, Kenya – The Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a preparatory meeting today for the upcoming Harmony4Haiti Concert and Cultural Festival. The event, scheduled for September 8, 2024, aims to strengthen cultural ties between Kenya and Haiti and generate support for the Multinational Security Support (MSS) Mission in Haiti.
The Joint Secretariat for the concert, chaired by Ambassador Joshphat K. Maikara, brought together officials from various government ministries and agencies to discuss preparations for the event. The concert, a collaboration with Africa4Haiti, will showcase the rich cultural heritage shared between Africa and Haiti, underscoring the deep historical and cultural connections between the two regions.
Representatives from the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Culture and Heritage, State Department for Broadcasting, and other government departments attended the meeting. The officials discussed logistical arrangements, security measures, and other essential aspects of the concert.
