Nairobi, Kenya – The Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today that the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs convened a high-level inter-agency meeting in preparation for the upcoming Ninth Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), set to be held in Beijing from September 4th to 6th.
The meeting, chaired by the Prime Cabinet Secretary, aimed to ensure that Kenya achieves favorable outcomes at the summit. This year’s FOCAC, a triennial event alternating between China and Africa, will focus on the theme “Joining Forces to Promote Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community of Shared Future.”
Several key government officials attended the meeting, including Cabinet Secretaries Julius Migos (Education) and Davis Chirchir (Roads and Transport), as well as Attorney General Dorcas Oduor. The presence of these high-ranking officials underscores the importance Kenya places on the FOCAC summit and its potential benefits for the country.
