Born and raised in Akatsi, Ghana, Akpene’s journey has been marked by resilience, determination, and a passion for making a positive impact.
After completing her undergraduate studies at Ashesi University, Akpene ventured into the world of entrepreneurship, establishing her own creative consulting company, Creatives Anonymous Africa. Despite facing challenges, including a failed business venture, Akpene remained undeterred. She learned valuable lessons from her experiences, emphasizing the importance of connecting with the problems one seeks to solve and fostering collaboration with communities.
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at CMU-Africa has played a pivotal role in Akpene’s journey.
