Tokyo, Japan – The South Sudanese government is actively courting Japanese investors, offering lucrative opportunities for those interested in the country’s burgeoning economy.
Foreign Minister Ramadan Mohammed Abdallah Goc met with TetSuro Yano, the former Japanese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the Association for African Economic Development (AFRECO), in Tokyo to discuss potential partnerships.
Goc highlighted South Sudan’s favorable investment climate and the government’s commitment to supporting foreign businesses. He extended a warm invitation to Japanese investors to explore the country’s abundant resources and untapped potential.
Yano expressed enthusiasm for expanding AFRECO’s projects in South Sudan and offered to assist the government with vital initiatives such as resource allocation and urban planning mapping.
To facilitate these efforts, AFRECO has proposed sending a team of experts to Juba for a comprehensive assessment before the end of the year. This visit will pave the way for more concrete collaborations and investments.
