Fukazawa conveyed his belief that the ideas and perspectives of young people could offer fresh solutions to global challenges, strengthening ties between Japan and Africa. He also expressed hope that the “Youth Drive” initiative, which began this year, would continue its momentum beyond TICAD 9, scheduled for August next year, indicating its potential for ongoing development.
The event also focused on the “Future Design” concept, which promotes sustainable policy-making by incorporating the viewpoints of future generations. Fukazawa underscored the need for a society where decisions consider the long-term impact on future generations, calling for continued engagement in this innovative approach.
