Mbabane, Eswatini – The Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) is set to take place this year, showcasing the best in business and agriculture. The event will be held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre, attracting exhibitors and visitors from around the globe.

The EITF, now in its 56th year, has become Eswatini’s premier business networking event. With over 250 exhibitors and vendors, the fair offers a platform for local and international businesses to showcase their goods and services. The event is expected to generate millions in direct and indirect economic activity, boosting Eswatini’s economy and creating trade opportunities.

The city of Manzini, where the EITF is held, will also benefit from the increased number of people visiting during the event. Businesses in the city will see a boost in sales, while informal traders will also have the opportunity to stimulate their business. Complementary sectors such as arts, hospitality, food, and retail will also benefit from the increased economic activity.

This year’s EITF theme, “Accelerating business growth through digitalization,” emphasizes the importance of embracing digital technologies to drive economic growth. The fair will showcase how digitalization can help businesses create efficiencies and enhance sustainable practices.

Technology also opens up opportunities for intra-African trade through agreements like the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The youth, who are well-versed in technology, have more opportunities than ever before to innovate and use digital platforms to present their product offerings to the world. This aligns with the new EITF tagline: CONNECT | CREATE | GROW, which seeks to highlight the potential for business connections to foster growth at the event.
