Accra, Ghana – Kwasi Agyeman, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, unveiled his new book, “When We Returned: From Chains to Crown,” at a launch event last week. The book, a personal account of Agyeman’s experiences during the “Beyond the Return” campaign, offers a poignant exploration of Africa’s history and the enduring spirit of its people.
Agyeman shared the inspiration behind the book, revealing that his visits to Ghana’s historical dungeons during the campaign had a profound impact on him. “The Year of Return was a transformative experience that ignited a desire to share my story and inspire others,” he said.
The book launch was attended by dignitaries, including H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana. The President praised Agyeman’s work, emphasizing the importance of African storytelling in shaping the continent’s narrative.
