Zambia’s Envoy Presents Credentials to Bahraini King

Manama, Bahrain – Zambia’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, with concurrent accreditation to Bahrain, Duncan Mulima, presented his credentials to Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Sunday, August 13, 2024.

In a statement released by the Zambian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mulima conveyed warm greetings from President Hakainde Hichilema and expressed gratitude for Bahrain’s continued support on the international stage. Zambia reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Bahrain.

King Hamad welcomed Ambassador Mulima and expressed appreciation for Zambia’s diplomatic efforts. He reiterated Bahrain’s commitment to fostering cooperation in trade, investment, energy, mining, education, culture, and tourism.

Beyond the formal ceremony, Ambassador Mulima engaged in productive talks with Bahrain’s Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, to explore collaboration in agriculture, municipal development, and water resource management. He also met with the Chairperson of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khalid Al Moayed, to discuss trade and investment opportunities, and with the Chief Banking Officer of Bahrain Development Bank, Ali Yusuf Al Aradi, to explore development finance and entrepreneurship support.
