Abu Dhabi, UAE – May 22, 2024 – UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, met with Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank Group, in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. The meeting took place on the sidelines of a ceremony honoring international officials who contributed to the success of COP28, the UN climate change conference held in the UAE late last year.
President Sheikh Mohamed warmly welcomed Mr. Banga, and their discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between UAE entities and the World Bank. Both leaders explored avenues for deeper collaboration on various initiatives.
High-ranking UAE officials attended the meeting, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, and others.
