UAE, Pakistan Leaders Discuss Strengthening Ties

ABU DHABI, 23rd May, 2024 (WAM) -- UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met today with His Excellency Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who is on a working visit to the country.

ABU DHABI, 23rd May 2024 – UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met today with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, during Sharif’s working visit to the country.

The leaders engaged in discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between their nations, with particular emphasis on economic, commercial, and developmental collaborations. Both sides explored avenues to strengthen their historical relationship and pursue sustainable economic growth that benefits both nations.

Prime Minister Sharif lauded the UAE’s impressive development and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to deepening its ties with the UAE, particularly in economic, commercial, and investment sectors.

The meeting was attended by prominent UAE officials including H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Mohamed Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office, and several other officials.
