Ghana and Indonesia are paving the way for stronger trade ties, as evidenced by a recent visit from an Indonesian delegation to the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).
The delegation, led by H.E Paskal A. B Rois, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in Ghana, met with GIPC Deputy CEO Yaw Afriyie on May 7, 2024. The well-timed visit comes in preparation for the upcoming 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum scheduled for September 2024 in Bali.
Mr. Afriyie welcomed the delegation and highlighted the importance of fostering closer ties between the two nations to boost trade opportunities. He underscored Ghana’s welcoming business environment and the GIPC’s commitment to collaborating and participating in the upcoming forum.
Indonesian Honorary Consul Paskal A. B Rois echoed the sentiment, expressing hope for more fruitful collaborations between Ghana and Indonesia. Mr. Raul Yanvierino, Economic Counsellor of the Indonesian Embassy in Abuja, also provided details about the previous forum, which boasted a strong Ghanaian and African presence.
The 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum aims to bring together a diverse audience from government, business, and other private sectors.
