The Gauteng Film Commission (GFC) is revving up for the Gauteng Discover Summit, a two-day event set to transform the Sandton International Convention Centre into a vibrant hub for filmmakers on May 9th and 10th, 2024.

This electrifying event positions Gauteng as a dream destination for local and international filmmakers. Industry leaders, visionaries, and policymakers will convene to discuss key resolutions, analyze trends, and chart a course for the future growth of the Gauteng film industry.

“We are excited to bring together leading creatives and policymakers to explore the evolving audio-visual industry,” said Ms. Keitumetse Lebaka, CEO of the GFC. “The Discover Summit will be a platform to share insights, celebrate filmmaking, and shape the future of our industry.”

The summit promises a multifaceted experience, featuring empowering conversations with industry leaders, masterclasses with renowned figures, and a cultural showcase highlighting local talent. An awards night will celebrate Gauteng’s brightest filmmaking stars, while an entrepreneur’s expo will connect filmmakers with local businesses across the filmmaking value chain.
