A groundbreaking chapter has unfolded in the world of music as Motswedi Modiba, known by her stage name Moe, etches her name in history as the first African artist to grace the esteemed stage of China’s monumental singing competition, SING! China. This milestone marks a poignant occasion, with Moe’s compelling performance captivating audiences and echoing across continents.

Radiating with pride and humility, Moe reflects on the significance of her participation, not only for herself but also for China, South Africa, and the global music community. The R&B singer-songwriter embarked on an audacious journey, seizing the opportunity to join the ranks of contenders on SING! China, a competition cherished and followed by millions throughout Asia.

In a heartfelt expression of gratitude, Moe extends her appreciation to the dedicated team of more than 20 individuals who steadfastly support her endeavors in China. Their unwavering efforts have guided her, bolstering her linguistic skills in Mandarin and fortifying her spirit with newfound courage. The artist also acknowledges the unwavering backing from her teams in South Africa and the United States, ensuring her interests are safeguarded even in her absence.

Taking center stage for her inaugural performance, Moe chose to serenade the audience with a song deeply cherished over the years, aptly translated to “love.” Admittedly nervous, she nevertheless found solace in the profound blessing of the moment.
