Nigeria – The Nollywood industry has been thrown into mourning as Nigeria actress Sharon Okpamen died following the birth of her second child. The Edo state-born star reportedly passed away after spending days in a coma sequel to the delivery of her newborn baby.
The young movie producer demise was announced by her colleague Stanley Ontop via his Instagram page. ”Nollywood Actor and Producer Sharon Okpamen has unfortunately passed on. 💔😭💔😭💔. It’s a sad day for Nollywood & the Edo entertainment industry. Sharon, who was a filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur& humanitarian, has left a significant void in the industry. May her soul rest in perfect peace, Amen @sharonokpamen. It can only get better 😭💔 Shalom!!!,” he posted.
Born on February 16, 1989, in Abudu, Edo State, Nigeria, Sharon Okpamen began her acting career in 2010 with the film ‘Touch Not My Crown’, a role given to her by John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu. The deceased has appeared in over 100 films. In addition to acting, she produced her own film, ‘Night Hustlers’.
