Apple Music announced on Monday that Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Davido, had made history with his latest album, ‘Timeless’, receiving the most first-day streams by an African album on the platform.
The album, which features 17 tracks and a diverse range of collaborators, including Angelique Kidjo and Skepta, is Davido’s fourth project.
He has also recently signed two new artists to his record label, DMW. Concerts for the new album will be held in London, New York, and Lagos, with the New York concert already having taken place on Sunday night.
Davido has established himself as one of the leading names in the Nigerian music industry, with a string of awards and honorary mentions.
