Rehabilitation work to repair failed/peeled asphaltic sections on the Third Mainland Bridge is set to commence today, according to the Lagos State Government.
Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, the Commissioner for Transportation, disclosed in a statement on Saturday that the Lagos State Public Works Corporation is ready to carry out the project.
To ensure a smooth rehabilitation process, traffic will be diverted from one lane to another at the identified failed sections on the bridge between 9 am and 4 pm. This measure is aimed at resolving tailbacks on the bridge during peak periods.
Oladeinde also stated that the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will be present to direct traffic and minimize inconveniences.
The statement urged motorists to exercise patience as the rehabilitation work aims to provide quality and safe road infrastructure for everyone.
