On Thursday, supporters of the Labour Party (LP) were attacked by hoodlums in Lagos’ Surulere area, resulting in injuries to some members of the party.
The attack occurred outside the Bode Thomas Police Station, where the LP supporters had sought refuge.
Titi Oworu, a witness and mother to an LP House of Assembly candidate in Surulere, Olumide Oworu, reported the incident.
Samuel, one of the victims, expressed dissatisfaction with the hasty discharge he received from Randle Hospital. The LP supporters called for an investigation into the attack and for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.
