Erling Haaland continued his impressive goal scoring form by netting a hat-trick for Manchester City against Wolves, bringing his season total to 31 goals in all competitions.
Despite a recent dry spell, Haaland broke his three-game drought against Tottenham on Thursday and then proceeded to dominate Wolves with three goals in a 12-minute span before and after halftime.
He opened the scoring with a header from Kevin de Bruyne’s cross, converted a penalty, and finished his hat-trick with a sweeping goal from Riyad Mahrez’s pass.
Haaland has now scored 25 goals in City’s first 20 Premier League games, five more than the previous record set by Luis Suarez in 2013-14.
He has also scored as many hat-tricks as Mo Salah and a third of Sergio Aguero’s record of 12 hat-tricks. Only Alan Shearer has scored more hat-tricks in a single Premier League season with five.
