The U.S. Embassy in Eswatini facilitated a recent visit for key media stakeholders to South Africa’s Press Council and other media self-regulatory bodies. This initiative, funded by the embassy, reflects their commitment to press freedom and media independence in Eswatini.
The delegation included Mbongeni Mbingo (Editor’s Forum Chairperson), Ntombi Mhlongo (Eswatini National Association of Journalists Secretary General), Bongani Mkhaliphi (Ministry of ICT’s Media and Information Development Directorate Senior Information Officer), and MP Charles Ndlovu (Chairperson of the Ministry of ICT House of Assembly Portfolio Committee).
