Lesotho’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Matete ‘Nena, is back in the country to report on the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA78).
Ambassador ‘Nena’s visit will include an audience with King Letsie III and a courtesy call on Prime Minister Samuel Ntsokoane Matekane. A key aspect of his visit is a multi-stakeholder engagement, where he will share the UN report with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations. This briefing took place on April 8th, 2024.
Looking beyond delivering the report, Ambassador ‘Nena has a broader goal: to secure Lesotho’s interests on both the international and bilateral stages. This ambitious vision is why he’s reaching out to various stakeholders within the country.
