MBABANE, Eswatini – Black Mamba Chilli, a Swazi company led by Claudia Castellanos, has been recognized as the country’s top female exporter at the Eswatini Exporter Awards.
The U.S. Embassy in Eswatini congratulated Castellanos and her team on this significant achievement. Black Mamba’s success story is particularly noteworthy, as they are one of the leading examples of a Swazi company successfully exporting to the United States under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).
The U.S. Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires, Caitlin Piper, emphasized the importance of exports in today’s interconnected global economy. She highlighted that trade fosters not just the exchange of goods, but also the exchange of ideas, stronger relationships, and trust between nations.
Black Mamba Chilli’s win coincides with Women’s History Month, making their accomplishment an even more fitting celebration of the resilience, creativity, and success of women-led businesses in Eswatini.
