Dubai, UAE – Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema and French President Emmanuel Macron held bilateral talks on the sidelines of the COP28 climate conference in Dubai today. The two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest affecting both their countries and peoples.
During their meeting, President Hichilema expressed his gratitude to President Macron and the French people for their support to Zambia in various areas of development and technical assistance. He also commended France’s leadership in addressing global challenges such as climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic.
President Macron reaffirmed France’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Zambia. He noted that France is a major investor in Zambia and has provided significant support for the country’s economic development and social progress.
