Harare, Zimbabwe – Dr Nevers Mumba, the Head of Mission of the SADC Electoral Observation Mission (SEOM) to Zimbabwe, arrived in Harare on August 16, 2023.

Dr Mumba, the former Vice-President of Zambia, was appointed to the position by the Republic of Zambia, which is the incoming Chair of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation.

The SEOM will be deployed to all ten provinces of Zimbabwe to observe the pre- and post-election phases and the polling day.
