Moscow – The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the Israeli regime’s Charge d’Affaires in Moscow to discuss the remarks made by “Tel Aviv’s” Ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, regarding the glorification of Nazi collaborators in Ukraine. The meeting, held at the Russian foreign ministry, focused on Ambassador Brodsky’s public statements expressing his belief in the unstoppable whitewashing of former Nazi collaborators in Ukraine.
During the discussion, it was emphasized that cooperation with Ukrainian authorities should not be disconnected from the issue of glorifying individuals like Stepan Bandera and his supporters. The Russian Foreign Ministry underscored the significance of ongoing collaborative efforts and stressed the need for a clear assessment of the actions of those who draw inspiration from figures like Bandera and Roman Shukhevich, individuals responsible for the deaths of numerous innocent victims, including Jews.
Stepan Bandera, a Ukrainian nationalist leader, collaborated with Nazi Germany during World War II and played a prominent role in the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), carrying out mass atrocities against civilians.
