The head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat issued a stern warning to the occupiers, affirming that the country will never back down from its objectives and will not negotiate on preserving Yemen’s full sovereignty, whether on land, at sea, or in the air. In a statement on Tuesday, the head of the Supreme Political Council emphasized the ongoing fight against the invaders and held the American government accountable for the prolonged conflict in Yemen.
Al-Mashat stated that the United States obstructs any peace initiatives in Yemen, hindering the resolution of the crisis. He further asserted that all actions carried out in the occupied provinces of Yemen align with the conspiratorial agenda of American occupiers, aimed at legitimizing their presence and imposing their policies.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia, with the backing of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and other nations, has conducted a military intervention in Yemen, implementing a comprehensive blockade that restricts the country’s access to land, sea, and air routes.
