H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a productive meeting with Yoshimasa Hayashi, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, during his official visit to Tokyo. The purpose of the meeting was to explore avenues for further cooperation between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Japan across multiple sectors, including the economy, trade, industry, and investment. This collaboration aims to strengthen the strategic partnership that exists between the two nations.

The discussions between Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Minister Hayashi reaffirmed the strong and enduring ties of cooperation and partnership between the UAE and Japan. Both leaders expressed their commitment to enhancing these relations and building upon the solid foundation that has been established over the years.

One of the key topics on the agenda was climate change, with a specific focus on the UAE’s preparations to host the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) this year in Dubai Expo City. The UAE, as a responsible global citizen, is actively engaged in addressing climate change issues and is poised to play a pivotal role in fostering international cooperation on this pressing matter.
