GABORONE, BOTSWANA – The highly anticipated 2023 U.S.-Africa Business Summit is set to take place from July 11 to July 14 in Gaborone, Botswana. Organized by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) in partnership with the Government of Botswana, the summit aims to enhance Africa’s value in global value chains by facilitating productive engagements between over 1,000 U.S. and African private sector executives, international investors, and senior government officials.
With the theme “Enhancing Africa’s Value in Global Value Chains,” the summit offers a unique platform for participants to connect with key decision-makers from the government and private sector, exchange insights, and explore opportunities for growth and collaboration.
The Royal Aria Convention Centre, located on Jamali Road in Tlokweng, Gaborone, will serve as the venue for the summit. Attendees can look forward to a packed agenda featuring plenary sessions, sector-focused panel discussions, and high-level dialogues covering a wide range of industries such as agribusiness, finance, energy, health, infrastructure, ICT, and creative industries.
One of the summit’s highlights will be the opportunity for private meetings, allowing participants to engage in closed-door conversations with influential decision-makers to address specific business needs and concerns. In addition, the “Doing Business in Africa” country forums will provide a platform to interact with high-level government officials and business leaders from countries that offer promising investment opportunities.
Prominent figures from both the African and U.S. governments, including Heads of State, senior officials, CEOs, and executives from leading companies, will be present at the summit. This presents a unique chance for attendees to forge new connections, foster partnerships, and gain insights into government policies, success stories, and business opportunities.
Moreover, the summit will focus on pathways to financing, offering updates on available financing options from the U.S. government, institutional investors, African banks, and more. This will provide valuable information for organizations seeking financial resources to expand their operations and invest in African markets.
Networking opportunities abound, with dedicated sessions for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) interactions. These sessions aim to elevate personal and organizational brands, facilitate the discovery of new investment opportunities, identify potential business partners, and connect with trade and investment professionals.
Furthermore, an exhibition center will be set up, providing a platform for organizations to showcase their products, services, and investment opportunities. This will enable participants to further enhance their brand visibility, engage with potential investors, and explore new avenues for growth and expansion.
The 2023 U.S.-Africa Business Summit promises to be an instrumental event for driving economic growth, fostering partnerships, and showcasing the potential of Africa’s dynamic business landscape. By leveraging the power of collaboration, this summit will contribute to the development of thriving global value chains and elevate Africa’s position in the global economy.
